Kevin Blake Weldon Born in Lufkin, Texas but currently residing in Des Moines, IA, Kevin Blake Weldon began his career in country music in 1990. His first band, “Blake Weldon and Texas Fire", won the “Coors Light Texas Music/Battle of the Bands” in Houston, TX in 1993. Two years later he landed a major record deal with Curb Records as part of the Duo, Blake & Brian. The Duo recorded two top-40 hits and scored a # 1 in Europe before the duo split in late 1999. After the split, Kevin returned home to TX and recorded his first solo album, “Hold On,” which yielded 2 top 20 hits on the Texas Music Chart! In 2002, fate stepped in. While making an appearance at a deer hunting camp in Pennsylvania, Kevin met a fan who unknowingly changed his life. Jimmy Huckleberry loved to hunt, but seemed to have the worst luck known to man. They sat around the fire for 16 hours straight while Jimmy told story after story of his hunting experiences. Inspired by Jimmy Huckleberry, that evening, while sitting in a deer stand Kevin penned his first Funny Hunting Song "That's What You Get For Shooting My Buck". Kevin experienced tremendous success with his Funny Hunting Songs comedy/parody project which has grown to 3 CD volumes: REDNECK HUNTER, POSTED PLACES and IF IT'S BROWN, IT'S DOWN. After Kevin released his first official music video entitled “I'm Pretty Bad at Huntin' Deer” which has been viewed over 13 million times, he decided it was time for volume 4. The new album has been released and the latest music video from Funny Hunting Songs "Bootlip Duck Club" has gone viral. Check it out below!
